Some of you may have heard that Barnes & Noble is getting a bit wonky with self-published titles that originate through Amazon…they carry books by competing publishing houses and amazon is just another publishing house in this instance.
Either way. As of right now it does NOT affect e-books. However, it leaves me questioning putting my book on Nook at all, as an act of solidarity (read: wtf) in the publishing world.
What have I done to help nookers? The only thing I can do. I went through CreateSpace and made my paperback as cheap as they’ll allow. This means I priced the book at $6.45 and will receive no royalties from it, as a means to get it in your hands since we’re not sure where B&N is headed.
It’s not ideal, it’s not as cheap as an eBook, but it’s the best I can do right now for you. The paperback link is http://www.amazon.com/Ten-Days-Perfect-Andrea-Randall/dp/147937296X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354466620&sr=8-1&keywords=ten+days+of+perfect.
I’ll keep you updated on “nook news” as it becomes available 🙂
